Weigh in day

Finally I slept in a bit today and it sure felt good. I woke up feeling refreshed.

First thing I do after hitting the bathroom is to jump on the scale and I was very please to see a - .8 yep point 8 and I'm happy. It's going in the ride direction.

Had a bit of running around to do this morning and made it part of a walk. Got to get those steps in as my goal is to get 10,000 steps a day in.

Oh and I found these at the dollar tree today!

After a light lunch Ralph and I were off on our bikes to the mall. Not as hot today so it was a very pleasant ride.

Honestly had to work hard to get my 8 cups of water in today but I did it.

Breakfast: Egg in the hole, cantaloupe, light yogurt and just a dab of sf jam on the middle of the toast Simply Filling

Lunch: cucumber rounds with ff cream cheese mixed with dill/garlic/sea salt/jalepeno peppers, cherry tomatoes, extra light turkey breast, berries and light yogurt Simply Filling

Dinner: bbq'd pork loin chop, mushrooms/green peppers/onion, baked potato with 2 tsp light marg 1sp and fresh peaches Simply Filling +1sp

Other: fat free cream for coffee

Water: 8 cups

Exercise: 47 minute walk and a total of 46 minutes of biking

Finally a bit cooler here today

For some strange reason I was wide awake at 6:30 am after working 2-10 pm last night!!

I decided to get up and made a coffee and breakfast, went on the computer for awhile then went back to bed for a couple more hours of sleep.

When I woke up the second time I was raring to go out on my walk. Got that done, paid some bills, stopped at the grocery store then home for lunch.

After lunch Ralph wanted to go out for a bike ride and partway through the ride we stopped at McDonald's and I chose a strawberry flavored Dasani sparkling water 0sp.



Dinner: Lean steak, salad with fat free Italian dressing, my version of Mexican corn with Kraft fat free whipped dressing, chili and shredded hard cheese Simply Filling +2sp

Other: no alcohol frozen strawberry margarita, ff cream for coffee 0sp
As of 8pm

Water: 10 cups

Fit points earned: 14
Fit points balance: 91 out of a goal of 80 :)

This is what happens when I purposely get up early!

I decided to get up early today even though I'm working the afternoon shift. I did this so that I have time to get out on a walk :) Extra steps!!

Breakfast: Brownie waffle with banana, sugar free syrup and 1/2 tbsp light peanut butter warmed up Simply Filling +1sp

Dinner: low carb wrap, extra lean turkey breast, veggies, pineapple and yogurt Simply Filling

Other: fat free cream for coffee, glass of wine 5sp

A workday!

Set the alarm this morning so that I could get some cleaning done before I needed to get ready for work.

Nothing exciting at work except that I got to go home early :) Oh and a storm was starting as I left so I got a bit wet before I reached home.

Late Breakfast: BLT wraps with lettuce, Pillers smoked breakfast ham slices, Kraft ff whipped mayo, ff cheese slice, tomato slices and grapefruit on the side Simply Filling

At work: shrimp, cocktail sauce, baked corn tortilla chips, berries and yogurt Simply Filling

Added motivation

Another crazy hot day here! Thankfully the woods are a bit cooler.

Went grocery shopping this morning, nice to have the fridge full again.

I took a bus to a local mall and bought myself a new Fitbit Alta! I love it! It even knows when I'm biking so I don't need to use a separate app. Very nice indeed.

While at the mall Ralph wanted to grab a sub but I honestly didn't really want anything in the food court so I took my own salad. Tasted great and saved me money.

My plan was to walk back from the mall but honestly it was so hot I took the bus halfway back and walked through the woods the rest of the way.

After lots of water and cooling down we decided to hop on our bikes to test my new fitbit and it worked perfectly.

Almost forgot to blog tonight but glad I remembered.

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites scrambled, extra lean ham, baby spinach, 1 tsp olive oil, clementine, slice of toast with sugar free jam Simply Filling 0sp

Lunch: Took to the mall: salad, shrimp, olive oil/vinegar/spices and when I got home I had this dessert which was SF + 2sp and I'll make a post on my recipe blog for it

Dinner: piece of pork loin, piece of chicken and I made a rice salad with leftover brown rice, chopped veggies, ff Italian dressing and mango with some Tajin seasoning Simply Filling

Other: ff cream for coffee and a glass of wine 5sp

Water: 11 cups so far

Exercise: 45 minute walk and a 22 minute bike ride

Still hot!

Sorry but the last few days I've been huddled in my living room which besides the bedroom is the only room that's cool. I didn't over eat in fact I ate less because I just didn't have any appetite and when I did it was for fruit and yogurt and easy to grab things. I was also sleeping in because it was cool in the bedroom. Not much walking and no biking.

However, enough is enough and I need to get back to a normal schedule.

So today I went to visit Jen and Lucas which had me walking for over 45 minutes. Still hot but drinking lots of water.

I also planned out a weeks menu and I've been chugging water like it's my job!

It's so hard trying to get a picture of Lucas because he never stops moving!!

Tomorrow I'm getting a new Fitbit Alta and it will definitely give me a kick of motivation :)

Breakfast: Breakfast sandwich with egg, extra lean ham and a ff cheese slice, on the side peaches and ff vanilla Greek yogurt Simply Filling

Lunch: Zoodles, shrimp, veggies, light parmesan cheese 1sp and chili peppers Simply Filling +1sp

Dinner: Taco salad with light cheese Simply Filling +2sp

Other: iced coffee made with my own ff cream and sweetener Simply Filling

I took my daughter Jennifer out for lunch today. Sorry I didn't take a picture but I had Lucas on my lap as someone else was using the high chair!

We stopped at a bank so Jen could use the bank machine and then she drove me home.

I was only home for a few minutes when I realized I'd left my phone near the bank machines!! I went on my computer to track my phone and it was still at the bank thank goodness. I tried several times to phone the bank but kept getting the automated answering machines and then transferred to someone's answering machine who was still on holiday. Messaged Jen and she managed to get through and after waiting forever for someone to go look for it they finally found it. Oh my! It's a new Samsung Galaxy 6 that I just bought this year so I was very happy that no one had picked it up.

The next few days are going to have a heat warning so I'll probably try to get out early for a walk tomorrow before the heat starts.

Breakfast: 1 egg, extra lean ham, polenta hashbrowns and berries Simply Filling I made the hashbrowns with cubes of polenta, a bit of olive oil, sea salt and smoked paprika, some chunks of green pepper and some cherry tomatoes.

Lunch: out with Jen and had some amazing sweet potato soup and a small sandwich and water No idea of points

Dinner: steamed salmon, brown rice and kale with some olive oil, lemon juice and sea salt Simply Filling

Other: ff cream for coffee and a cup of frozen green grapes :) Simply Filling

Another active day!

Woke up with the birds so that I could babysit Lucas while Jen went to a meeting! Well I had so much fun. Such a happy fella and so easy to look after. He even shared his banana with me :)

After his breakfast we went on a nice long walk. Definitely got my steps in today.

Breakfast: Chocolate cherry breakfast parfait Simply Filling +1sp for the almonds

Lunch: 2 shrimp spring rolls, 2 tbsp blue menu spicy peanut sauce and grapes Simply Filling +4sp

Dinner: my version of Chinese food: coleslaw mix, bean sprouts, whole wheat pasta, lots of veggies, chicken breast, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, olive oil and a pinch of sweetener Simply Filing

Today I went walking and biking!

Started today with another walk! 70 minutes today

After lunch I got on the bike for a ride to meet up with some friends. Ended up with 45 minutes of biking

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites scrambled, kale, tomatoes, mushrooms, 1 tsp oil, hot sauce and berries Simply Filling

Lunch: Salad, watermelon, ff dressing, blue cheese crumbles, leftover beef tenderloin Simply Filling +1sp
