Back to work!

Just a regular work day for me today. Not a bad thing at all!

Another great day

This morning I went grocery shopping, wow veggies are getting expensive!

I also went on a walk. I've really enjoyed them this week and tomorrow I'm back to work tomorrow so I really wanted to get out today.

Tried a new to me recipe today: hungry girls healthy flourless chocolate cake it's 3 sp but since all but the chocolate chips are SF I'm counting it as 2 :)

Breakfast: mini frittata with 2 eggs, 1 tbsp ff cream, kale, onion, tomato and light feta cheese with grapefruit on the side Simply Filling +1sp

Lunch: veggies, extra lean turkey breast, brocolli slaw, banana and a sf ff chai tea latte Simply Filling

Dinner: rainbow trout, brown rice, broccoli, 2 tsp olive oil and 1 slice of flourless chocolate cake Simply Filling +2sp the cake was o.k but I won't make it again

Other: glass of red wine 5sp

That's life!

Busy day today!

I had a board meeting to go to where they serve dinner and you never know what they'll serve!
Before the meeting though I hung out with 2 of my favourites my daughter Jen and Grandson Lucas :)
So at my meeting they ended up having Chinese food! I took a small spoonful of a few things. I did stop eating 3/4 of the way through the plate because I was satisfied. I have no idea of the points and I'm o.k with that. That's life, things happen unexpectedly and you do what you can when you can.

I also earned quite a few fitpoints today so I'm very happy with my day.

Off to the library

I've always loved reading and I've always loved the library. I had a book to return today plus one to pick up. Ralph and I walked to and from the library which gave me a 45 minute walk today.

Not cold, no snow, just a beautiful day for a walk.

I make my goals the night before :) Today's goals were to get at least a 45 minute walk and to do some downward dogs into planks! Great stretch

Breakfast: mini breakfast quiche which today I made with green pepper, onion and 1/2 oz light cheese, grapefruit and yogurt Simply Filling +1sp

Lunch: 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich made with a ff cheese slice, homemade coleslaw, clementines and light tomato soup Simply Filling

Dinner: romaine lettuce leaves, leftover meatballs, kraft calorie wise bbq sauce, salad, light Caesar salad dressing, home made croutons, 1 tbsp light parmesan, 1 tsp olive oil Simply Filling +3sp

Such a beautiful morning

It's Sunday which is always the day I wish I stayed in my pj's all day with unlimited coffee and food :)

Reality is a different thing! I woke up a little early so that I could go on an hours walk before the hubs woke up. Absolutely gorgeous day.

Today's goal is to not eat after dinner tonight. I normally don't but lately I've been grabbing a couple of clementines or a banana etc and it's not that I have something again snacking I don't but I'm doing it when I'm not really hungry.

Breakfast: cornmeal quick oats pancakes with sf syrup and blackberries Simply Filling +1sp

Lunch: veggies, lean ham, clementines and yogurt Simply Filling

Dinner: spaghetti and meatballs with whole wheat pasta, 1 tbsp light parmesan cheese and some spring mix with 1 tsp olive oil Simply Filling +1sp

Gone for a walk

While we didn't get the huge snow storm here it is bitterly cold today.

I'm enjoying making daily goals for myself! Thursday and Friday were to not buy or eat anything at work and I didn't touch a bite :)

My goal for today was to walk for at least 45 minutes. I actually walked for 70 minutes :)

Breakfast: egg, extra lean bacon, kale and grapefruit Simply Filling +1sp

Lunch: salad, croutons made from ezekiel bread, ff Italian dressing  and 30g light cheese Simply Filling +3sp

Dinner: pork and I blended fiber one cereal to make the coating, 2 tsp olive oil, green beans, potato and unsweetened apple sauce Simply Filling 0sp

Other: glass of red wine 5sp

Water: 7 cups so far but I plan on drinking 2 more before the night is over

Strange winter

Sorry I had some family issues to deal with this week.

This year is the strangest winter I've ever seen. It's lots of snow, bitter cold, warm enough to be the fall and then rain. Wow

Today was another work day. Another crazy day at work.

No excuses today!

First I woke up a bit late today which meant breakfast was later and there really wasn't time to get out on a walk. At least not where I usually do. It would have been easy to just use the Sunday is a day to relax but I know I sleep better and stick to my eating plan better when I get some form of walking in.

Ralph wanted to take a bus to the mall today and look around which we love to do. Yes I get some walking there but not like I usually do, so I sent Ralph home on the bus and walked home!

I'm so glad I wore my Yak Trax on my boots as there was a lot of ice. Please be careful if there's ice where you are as it's so easy to fall.

Breakfast: 2 eggs, extra lean bacon, kale, tomatoes, slice of Ezekiel toast and butter Simply Filling +2sp

Lunch: cucumber, tomatoes, turkey breast and cherries Simply Filling 0sp

Dinner: one pot chicken lo mein Simply Filling 0sp I tweaked the recipe quite a bit but I had the inspiration from this recipe I made it in my electric pressure cooker

Off to the market

I set my alarm early today so that I could take the bus to the farmers market. I'm so glad I did because it's a lot cheaper than the grocery stores right now.

Breakfast: blueberry banana oatmeal parfait Simply Filling just oatmeal/yogurt/blueberries and bananas

Lunch: Home made egg rolls 4 sp, spicy peanut satay sauce 2 Tbsp 2sp and steamed sugar snap peas Simply Filling +4sp The sauce is made with stevia and honey!

Dinner: Haddock with a lemon, butter caper sauce, steamed broccoli Simply Filling + 2sp
Dessert: crustless pumpkin pie Simply Filling will post recipe tomorrow
Other: clementine and 7 raw almonds Simply Filling + 1sp

A busy day!

This morning I woke up early because I needed to do a major grocery haul before I went to work. Finally the fridge is full :)

I'm also going to go to the farmers tomorrow for more fruit and veggies.

Today's shift at work was crazy! It was very busy, I had new staff and our power went out. The fitbit shows the stats :)
