What a day!

First of all today was weigh in day. I stayed the same and I'm o.k with that. I'm very happy with how last week went and I know my body will have to let go of some weight by next week :)

So I had to stop by work to discuss something that happened at work last night and I decided to get my running clothes on so I completed the Couch to 5K week 4 day 2! A great 50 minute workout.

Then it was home to get some much needed house work done. Not fun but must be done.

After lunch Ralph asked if I wanted to go on a bike ride. Well o.k let's go. It's a lot more fun than washing floors :)

Here's my stats so far today:

Lunch: sauteed savoy cabbage, kale, hot pepper and bacon, cantaloupe with plain Greek yogurt 5pp

Dinner: salad with raw honey dijon mustard, cracklin' chicken thigh with skin 7pp

A very busy day!

A quick post tonight before I hit the sack :)

First I decided that even though I was working today, which means 8 hours on my feet, I decided to to the C25K Week 4 Day 1. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Work was pretty busy tonight so lots of running around.

Breakfast: blueberry baked oatmeal with almonds 6pp

Lunch: ham, swiss and tomato on lettuce leaves, kimchi, zucchini, oil, apple, 1 tbsp natural almond butter and dark chocolate 8pp

Dinner: veggies, leftover fish and smelts, plain Greek yogurt, strawberries 6pp

Other: xyla, organic cream, organic kefir 5pp

Another summer day!

It was a beautiful day here today! Lots of sun and warmth :)

I was getting ready to go out on a walk this morning when I got an email that the library had a book in for me. Off to the library I went and ended up walking for an hour.

I also managed to get a 45 minute bicycle ride in.

Tomorrow it's back to work and it's supposed to rain. If it isn't raining in the morning I'm hoping to get out and do a couch to 5K workout. If it is raining I'll do it Sunday.

This is today's stats so far. Very happy with it and yesterdays was just about the same.

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites, 1 tsp butter, kale, tomatoes, feta cheese, orange slices and kimchi 5pp

Lunch; fried smelts which are like sardines, tomato slices, natural cheese, banana, plain Greek yogurt, cinnamon and raw hulled sesame seeds 9pp

Dinner: halibut with an almond meal crust, oil, zucchini 6pp

Other: kefir, xyla for sweetener and organic cream 5pp

A very frustrating day!

Today started out great! I woke up early enough to get out and do Week 3 Day 3 of the couch to 5k app. It was hard since it's been a few day's since I got out running but I'm happy to say I completed it!

Then I came home to cool down before going out to visit Jen who has 2 weeks today until her due date :) She's looking great! Oh and Bubba was very excited to see me <3

So why was my day frustrating? Because my bus going towards Jen's place was 15 minutes late and the bus home was 30 minutes late!! In the blazing sun! Also because of the detours I had a lot of walking to do in between buses.

I'd planned on getting out for a bike ride but by the time I got home I was hot and tired. Tomorrow I'll definitely get a ride in.

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites, kale, oil, plain Greek yogurt with cinnamon, berries 6pp

Lunch which I ate very late after getting home a lot later than planned: wild salmon, zucchini, tomato, organic gala apple, natural almond butter with 70% dark chocolate, kimchi 5pp

Dinner: pork loin chop, carrots, olive oil, sweet potato and 1 tsp butter 7pp

Will that be a hot dog or a hamburger?

Oh my goodness!

I was asked to be the official cook in charge of 2 industrial sized bbq's cooking hamburgers and hot dogs for up to 150 people.

It was also a hot day! I don't think I've ever sweated as much in my life!! Lots of fun and so many nice people who appreciated getting a great lunch.

After I visited with the ducks and geese and then made my way home to have a much needed shower :)

Life is never dull.

Breakfast: brownie waffle, I used plain Greek yogurt and stevia for sweetener, strawberries and blueberries 7pp

Lunch after cooking everyone else's: veggies, a plum and natural cheese 3pp

Snack when I got home: banana, 1 tbsp natural almond butter 3pp

Dinner: lean angus beef stew with turnips, carrots and some potatoes 5pp

Other: kefir, xyla for sweetener, organic cream for coffees and coconut oil, glass of wine 8pp

Well this should be interesting!

So I've been asked to be the bbq'r of hamburgers and hotdogs for over 120+ people tomorrow!! That should keep me busy :)

Today Ralph and I went on a 50 minute bike ride. The weather was beautiful. Have to take advantage of it while it's here.

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites, zucchini, kale, bacon and grapefruit 5pp

Lunch: wild canned salmon, cucumber, tomatillos, organic gala apple, 1 Tbsp no sugar no salt almond butter 3pp

Dinner: grilled organic carrots, savoy cabbage, olive oil, sea salt, fresh dill, chicken and a red plum 7pp

Other: dry red wine, 2 small squares of 70% dark chocolate, xyla sweetener, organic cream and 2 tsp coconut oil 10pp

Oops I did it again!

Friday's and Saturday's it's sometimes hard for me to post! I don't get home until around 10:30 pm and then I'm ready to just relax before going to bed.

So today's post will be a mesh from yesterday and today!

Breakfast Friday: 1 organic egg, 2 egg whites, raspberries and blackberries, plain Greek yogurt

Breakfast Saturday: 1 organic egg, 2 egg whites, 1/2 an orange, 1/4c oats cooked plus 1 tsp unsulfered black strap molasses

Lunch Friday: cucumber, avocado, lower sodium roast beef, homemade pumpkin latte made with coconut milk

Lunch Saturday: sauteed green beans, butter, salmon, peach, a bit of coconut cream and slivered almonds

Took to work Friday: zucchini, cherry tomatoes, tuna salad and a peach

Took to work Saturday: lower sodium turkey breast, veggies, home made raw honey dijon dressing for dip, grapes

Other: both days I used xyla as a sweetner, organic cream for coffees and coconut oil

Still here!

Sorry I've been absent a couple of days but I was crazy busy!!

Stuck to plan except for the C25K which I plan to do on Sunday. Friday and Saturday I'm on my feet for 8 hours running around at work and it's too much to do the running on top of that.

Met up with Jen for a coffee today. She has less than 3 weeks left until her delivery date. We're getting so excited!

Just do it!

So since I didn't do the couch to 5K yesterday I was determined to do it today. I had planned on waking up early so it would be a bit cooler however that plan didn't hold up when I slept in. So I woke up late and decided it didn't matter what time it was I was still going to do Week 3 Day 2 of the Couch to 5K.

It was soooo hot and by the time I finish I had sweat pouring down on my face and down my back. Oh boy. But, having said that, I felt great :) Glad I just did it. No excuses!!

This afternoon the hubs wanted to go to the local McDonald's for an ice cream cone. That's fine. I had an iced water instead. Win!

Breakfast: 1 egg, 2 egg whites, swiss chard, peppers, green onion, natural cheese, peach and beets 7pp

Lunch: leftover spaghetti squash with shrimp, olive oil, plain Greek yogurt, banana and walnuts 5pp

Dinner: Rainbow trout, salad, raw honey mustard dressing and a peach 7pp

Other: xyla sweetener and organic cream, coconut oil 6pp

Weigh in day!

Today didn't go as I had planned but it still turned into a great day :)

First within 5 minutes of waking up the phone rang and they needed me to come into work. Well o.k! I just needed coffee and breakfast and off I went.  Luckily it was just for 3 hours.

By the time I came home it was so hot I didn't think it would be safe to do the couch to 5K today. I will do it tomorrow in the morning.

So today was weigh in day and luckily I didn't forget to get on the scale before I went to work.

This week:
I used 7 of my 49 weekly pts
I earned 43 activity points and didn't use any of them.
I lost -1.2 lbs
In the last 4 weeks I lost:
1. -3.9 lbs
2. -1.0 lbs
3. -2.1 lbs
4. -1.2 lbs
I'm very happy with how my body is responding to my clean eating.

In case anyone doesn't think I have temptation I work in a coffee/donut shop and today they had a new donut called an apple pie donut. An apple donut filled with apple filling and topped with a graham crumbs. Nope didn't try any. Did sell a lot though :)

Breakfast: baked peach walnut oatmeal which is based on this basic recipe but I added a chopped peach, vanilla, walnuts and cinnamon 6pp

Lunch: Veggies, wild smoked sockeye salmon, swiss chard sauteed with butter, onions and garlic, sugar free rhubarb 2pp

Dinner: Pork tenderloin, warm cherry sauce made by warming frozen black cherries with a pinch of stevia and thickening with some tapioca flour which is like cornstarch mixed with water, salad and home made Caesar salad dressing 8pp

Other: xyla for sweetener, organic cream, plain kefir 2 tbsp and a glass of dry wine 9pp

Going to be doing a lot of running around today

I'm going to be short handed at work today which usually means I'll have a lot of running around to do. That's o.k burn some calories :) It's weigh in day tomorrow so I'm sure that will help.
