A few things that work for me

I posted this to some facebook groups this week and I was asked to put it here :)
1. Drink at least 8 cups of water
2. When using cheese shred as finely as you can as it seems like a lot more cheese
3. Cut up lemons and limes and have ready in the fridge to add to your water if you don't eat them up quickly put them in ice cube trays the add water and freeze  Great way to add flavor to ice cubes!
4. Eat some sort of protein with each meal.
5. Plan ahead. It really keeps me on track when I plan out a weeks menus ahead of time.
6. Track everything. Every taste/lick/bite
7. Don't let the scale dictate what kind of day you will have.
8. After weekly weigh in look back at the week to see whether you're on the right track or what you can change.
9. Find way to get more steps in every day. Park further away from the store, take the stairs, get off of the bus early.
10. Make sure to get your 2 servings of healthy oils in a day. It really helps the skin and hair to look great!
11. Have a support system. Either Weight Watcher meetings or online groups or both. Really helps
12. Try new foods and new recipes. Don't get in a rut.
13. Mark all boxes and bags with points values before you put them away. If it's a big bag/box divide into ziplocks and mark with points
14. Keep it simple. Don't go crazy trying to be perfect. You have to live this for the rest of your life.
15. Eat breakfast.
16. Put the salt shaker down.
17. When you are first starting your journey to a healthier you know that in the beginning raw veggies may not taste great and you may need dip. The longer you're on this journey the better I find things taste. I can eat cherry tomatoes like candy now
18. Don't let one bad meal/day get you down. Just take it one hour at a time and celebrate your accomplishments.
19. Just because an item costs 1pp/Tbsp a tsp maybe 0pp and be enough. I find that with real maple syrup or sugar. 1 tsp of either is 0pp
20. Celebrate how far you've come.
